In einer außergewöhnlichen Kollaboration zwischen dem Regieduo und zwei italienischen Kriegsfotograf*innen begibt sich der Fotofilm auf eine Reise durch die Archive der beiden Fotograf*innen, die Kriege und Katastrophen weltweit dokumentieren. Während sie sich mit ihren eigenen Kameras gegenseitig fotografieren spüren sie dem Moment der Zeugenschaft von Bildern nach und fragen nach dem menschlichen Drang Bilder von Tod und Zerstörung zu produzieren.
Der Film umkreist was der italienische Philosoph Giorgio Agamben die “Lücke” nennt, die jedes Zeugnis im Kern enthält.

In a extraordinary collaboration between the two directors and two Italian war photographers (she, he) the photo film takes the audience on a journey through the photographers’ archives documenting wars and catastrophes all over the world. While shooting themselves with their own camera they go in search of images that bear witness and ask for the human impulse of making pictures of dead and disaster.
The film circles around what the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben calls the “void” that every testimony contains at its core.
