SYNOPSIS
In an extraordinary collaboration between the two directors and two Italian war photographers (she, he) the photo film takes the audience on a journey through the photographers’ archives documenting wars and catastrophes all over the world. While shooting themselves with their own camera they go in search of images that bear witness and ask for the human impulse of making pictures of dead and disaster. The film circles around what the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben calls the “void” that every testimony contains at its core.
