SYNOPSIS
In the documentary Extended Reality Performance STEP CLOSER, the audience itself becomes the performers, immersing themselves in the personal memories of refugees and border guards. Both sides have experienced physical and psychological borders – now they encounter one another. What remains of these experiences? And what is happening in the moment of the encounter?
TÒ SU scales the European debate on security and demarcation down to the human dimension of personal fates, inviting the audience, in an immersive setting, to take an interactive stance.
